Your back has a major role to play in stabilising your golf swing.
Your latissimus dorsi muscles stretch from under your armpits to the middle of your back. It connects your ribs, across to your shoulder blade. The latissimus dorsi works with your chest muscle to adduct your arm, rotate and extend your muscles – essential for your swing.
The latissimus dorsi helps with rotation
and balances the force you generate across your chest muscles on both
sides of your body. A great exercise to strengthen your latissimus dorsi
is the seated band row.
